The young lady featured here is one of my favorite models to photograph because modeling comes effortlessly to her and her eyes are truly fantastic.

Moscow Nights Volume 2 captures some of my favorite sites from my late night stroll through the city of Moscow. Check them out here… (more…)
The Moscow night was a little cold but the fresh air and palpable energy of the city made it all worthwhile. This is volume 1 of 2 (more…)
Several months ago I talked about how one of my very favorite wedding couples called to announce they were expecting. Well, the day finally came where they were ready for their Maternity Photography Session. As you can see, Joyce is even more gorgeous pregnant than she was on her wedding day, and believe me, that’s saying A LOT! These two will make phenomenal parents. It turns out we did this session just in time since less than a week later baby Kaia arrived! Check back soon for the newborn photography session.

About 8 weeks ago I found out that one of my first wedding couples, and by far one of my favorites, is pregnant with their first child. When I say one of my favorites, I really mean it. This is the only wedding I’ve been to where I actually got teary eyed. Imagine it, we are in the middle of the vows and this foreign liquid comes rolling down my cheek. I was stuck somewhere between “Awwww, gotta love love…and…What the heck?! Dear God, am I actually crying?” But hey, I’m a proud card carrying member of the hopeless romantic club. The love between them was truly palpable and today it’s stronger than ever.
So, on with the good news. Not only was I one of the very first people they called, which just goes to show how I truly strive to become friends with my clients, they’ve asked me to do a maternity session for them. Now I have to wait anxiously until she is proudly showing. I’m incredibly honored and excited. This is what I love most about my favorite clients. They invite me into their lives to document their union & love, and then they honor me by asking that I document the growth of that love and of their family. For me, this is where lifestyle photographer meets lifetime photographer and friend.
This is one of my favorite images from a trip to the Atlanta Train Museum with a family that I love photographing. To this day I don’t know what little Tyson was looking at, but it clearly had his full attention seeing as he could not care less about the giant locomotive next to him.

I’m in awe of the magnificence of this church. Something so grand with so much detail is truly inspiring. Meanwhile, the little fella near the bottom of the frame is clearly more intrigued by the pigeon.

It’s nice to sit around a bonfire with a bunch of friends and making up songs with some awesome guitar players. Tonight was a great night. Keeping us all warm was a fire that made a cool addition to my iPhone series.
So amazingly beautiful and yet so dangerous. Kinda like love. It keeps you incredibly warm, but if you aren’t careful it’ll burn you. That said. Just like fire, love is one of God’s greatest gifts. Enjoy and if it’s cold where you are…stay warm!
Love Locks are a custom by which lovers symbolize their everlasting love by affixing padlocks to a fence or similar public fixture and then throw away the key. It’s a beautiful sentiment and the most famous place for this is Florence Italy. Until I saw this, I had never heard of a love lock. I love it! No pun intended…ok…maybe a little bit… Rock On Love…Rock On!

Today I’ve decided to start up an iPhone camera series. This is by no means a new idea, but some of the best ideas have been around for a while. Enjoy this first installment. They say the best camera is the one you have with you!
