As you all may have noticed, I’m playing a bit of catch-up with my blog. I’m back in the swing of things, so check back often. As always, I love reading your comments, so don’t hesitate to click on the comments link beneath each post and leave me a comment. OK, so enough with that. Back in December one of my great friends and I went on a road trip to New Orleans and we had a blast! BTW, my buddy is the good looking Filipino guy pictured below…not as good looking as me, but I digress (smile). OK, back to New Orleans…from the vibrant colors to the awesome jazz and street entertainment, New Orleans has a wonderful and colorful soul. Of course, in true Bourbon St. fashion, there were more than your fair number of, ummm…shall we say “very happy and not so good at walking in a straight line” people. We did the typical N.O. things like screaming “Who Dat” in an obnoxious fashion that drives the locals crazy, and arguing over the proper way to say “New Orlens…Nawlens…New Or-Liens…”, you get the idea. Turns out, the proper way, according to a New Orleans native is “New Orlens”. Alright…moving on…by far, the best part of the trip was seeing awesome street musicians and hearing some of the most amazing jazz at the oldest jazz club in New Orleans, Preservation Hall. We also took a trip out to several of the old plantations. Here are a few of my favorite images from this awesome trip to “The Big Easy”.
