Timeless Love

Sometimes I enjoy going back to revisit the images from some of my favorite couples. Joy and Lionel definitely rank high on this list. Today I’m featuring one of my favorite images of the two of them. Joy is expecting and I can’t wait until the little one arrives. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they will come through Atlanta soon so that I can do a maternity session with her and if I’m lucky they’ll come back for a newborn session. As you all know, I love keeping in touch with my clients and I’m so happy for them!

Joy & Lionel – The Definition of Newlywed Rockstars

As I”ve mentioned before, everyone can be a Rockstar. It”s all about the swagger, the sway and the sexy. Being a Rockstar is about your attitude and being treated like a Rockstar! This couple clearly has all of that wrapped up with an awesome personality and a love of family! Shooting this wedding was loads of fun and I”m excited to share some of my favorite images with you. You”ll notice this post is quite a bit longer than others because there were so many images that I loved. What can I say, these two just look darn good! Enjoy!

Erica & Alex – Anniversery of Love

We are coming up on the first anniversary of one of my favorite couples. Erica and Alex were married April 24th 2010 and in celebration of their beautiful love here are some of my favorite images from their wedding album. I had dinner with Alex and Erica earlier this week and the love and joy that made them so fun to photograph is stronger and more pure than ever! Thank you again for the honor of photographing your special day.

The New Wedding Guestbook

It’s all about the new take on The Wedding Guestbook. In the age of graphic design and lifestyle engagement photo sessions, there is no reason to have a guest book that is nothing more than a bunch of lines where you collect the names and addresses of your guests. Let’s think about it. If they are at the wedding, then they were invited. If they were invited then most likely they received an invitation in the mail. If you mailed them an invitation, do you REALLY need to get their address? Instead, give them a chance to see some of the awesome images from your engagement session and allow them to right a message from the heart. This way, 50 years from now you can review your engagement session and see all of the wonderful things your loved ones had to say to you on your big day. Below is a sample from a couple that absolutely loved the idea. It was new to them and they wouldn’t have done it any differently!

Jessica & Tom – Michigan Wedding

Several months ago I had the pleasure of photographing a Michigan wedding with a photographer friend of mine, Ed of Edward John Photography. It was a chilly, rainy, Midwest fall day, but the wedding was gorgeous and Tom & Jessica had an amazing day. We had a lot of fun dashing in and out of buildings to create great images between the sprinkles and the approaching frost bite :-). Fortunately, Mother Nature held out for us and I’m proud to say Mission Accomplished! By the end of the day my feet were soaked from walking through the grass and the brides dress was more than a little damp, but it was all worth it. Tom and Jessica are two awesome people. Not only were they troopers but their obvious love and quirky since of humor sure kept me inspired. One of my favorite things about these two is that they had the hilarious idea to carve “Thank You” into a pumpkin that was displayed at the wedding. Between the Thank You pumpkin, their obvious love and the Groom’s Doughnut cake, I couldn’t help but have an awesome time photographing these two!
